Los Angeles Brand Videography for an Ayurvedic Registered Dietician

Liz Lemon channelers, listen up. You can have it all. Just ask Ilene Cohen of PranaSpirit Nutrition and Wellness who wanted ALL the media assets she needs to market her registered dietician business.

Ilene’s experience with me started like most do – she was in search of a brand photographer who she vibed with and who could guide her through every part of a shoot that involves more than a few laptop lifestyle pictures against a plain backdrop. 

While her web designer and me created a shot list that encompassed all the facets of her business and areas of her website that would showcase them, I posed the question, “there’s a lot here, and if you’re investing in a new website, have you thought about including a video on the site as well?”

It turns out, I was right on the money. Ilene wanted a video not just for her website, but for some professional databases she was listed on as well – a surefire way to stand out against her competitors. And acknowledging the rising popularity of short form video, she wanted some help in shooting Reels and learning how to be able to shoot them on her own later.

As for Ilene’s video, we started with my signature Swift Scripts & Prompts System. This system is the ultimate blueprint and foundation to prep my clients for their shoots, create a complete shot list & schedule for shoot day.

Most importantly, it gives a clear vision of what we’ll capture, how we’ll capture it, what they’ll need for shoot day (i.e. wardrobe, props, and essentials for set) and how their final video will be pieced together to tell their story. 

While I don’t require memorizing the script ahead of our shoot as we will be using a teleprompter (as pictured above), I do encourage reciting it and going over it a few times. Even with the guidance and coaching I give my clients while we record, it’s still a good idea to know which words or phrases will have an emphasis, or to rework sentences that feel awkward when spoken out loud.

Because of our script, we were able to move through our shot list quickly and efficiently on shoot day, leaving us room to shoot five Reels – a few introductions to Ayurveda, two easy Ayurvedic recipes to make at home, and one video using a trending sound to speak to the transformation her clients will undergo after working with her.

Ilene received a 2-minute brand video that greets visitors on the About page on her website – a perfect introduction to her, her values, her process, and her mission.

We also made two shorter cuts, at 60-seconds and 30-seconds, to comply with each database’s maximum requirements.

The results of Ilene’s full multimedia session can be seen on her website, www.pranaspiritnutrition.com, with all her photos and video creating a well-rounded, fully dynamic and interactive experience for her visitors, promoting more inquiries and longer visits.
